Mavovo’s musical journey about to mark two decades and beyond
“I would like to see myself growing big in the industry and sharing my craft with the nations worldwide,” said Mavovo.
A local DJ/producer is making history and a name for himself in the music industry.
Nyaziwe Nkosikhona Masombuka, better known on stage as Mavovo, has been navigating the entertainment industry for more than 15 years, and stopping is not part of the plan; the journey continues.
At just 30 years of age, the dynamic DJ and producer has already carved a name for himself in the music scene, blending skills with raw passion.
Mavovo’s story began in 2009 at Hoërskool Patriot, where his love for music was ignited through his participation in choir performances.
His talent quickly grew, leading him to join the prestigious Mpumalanga Youth Choir in 2013, an experience that sharpened his artistry and deepened his connection to music.
After high school, Mavovo transitioned from harmonies to beats. “I started producing music and deejaying, and that’s where my passion for music potentially grew,” Mavovo said.
Since then, he has electrified audiences at clubs, events, and private functions both in and out of eMalahleni.
His ability to move smoothly and continuously across genres makes him a force behind the decks, capable of touching every soul with sound.
With over a decade of dedication, Mavovo is now preparing to release an EP and album this year, a milestone that promises to showcase his unique craft to the world. For him, music is more than entertainment; it is healing, unity, and storytelling.
“I believe music can heal every soul and touch everyone in different ways,” says Mavovo, reflecting on his mission to share his gift worldwide.
Mavovo’s consistency is just three steps to mark two decades in the music industry, a journey worth the spotlight.
Mavovo opens for bookings at functions, events, and collaborations.
Whether it’s a high-energy club night or a soulful community gathering, he emphasises that his sound guarantees unforgettable moments.
