NAA continues impressive performances at MMK 5-in-1 Marathon

Nkangala Athletic Academy dominates the MMK 5-in-1 Marathon with a commanding performance.

Nkangala Athletic Academy once again stamped its authority on Mpumalanga road running after an outstanding showing at the Middelburg Midack Klub 5-in-1 Marathon, producing podium finishes across nearly every race category on January 31.

The academy’s dominance was highlighted in the 15km race, where Nkosinathi Prince Thwala claimed aconvincing victory.

He was closely followed by Ntando Sibeko, who finished second overall while also taking first place in the junior category. Mondli Mashiyane rounded off the podium in third place.

In the 10km event, Pule Mabaso delivered an exceptional performance, winning both the junior and overall titles. Nkosinathi Skosana finished second in a competitive field.

On the women’s side, Caster Mlangeni showcased her class by topping both the overall and junior female categories.
Veteran runner Emmanuel Shaper Mabaso emerged victorious in the 40+ category.

Coach Emmanuel said, “The MMK 5-in-1 Marathon victory marks the academy’s fourth win on the Mpumalanga Athletics January calendar, completing a clean sweep for the month.”
