The suspects were reportedly armed and wearing gloves, and the robbery appeared to have been carefully planned and executed.
A family has been left traumatised after armed robbers allegedly accessed their home, situated in a gated community, under false pretences.
A baker, who operates a small business from her house, and her son were reportedly tied up while their home was ransacked on August 6.
The woman had reportedly received an order for baked goods.
Knowing the client, the family said, the woman used the estate’s normal visitor-access system to generate a PIN for the client, granting access to the estate for collection of the order.
Reports indicate that, after a white Mercedes panel van with KZN registration plates accessed the property, a woman and seven to eight men carried out the robbery.
The suspects were reportedly armed and wearing gloves, and the robbery appeared to have been carefully planned and executed.
