Six suspects appear in court for alleged hijacking and possession of suspected stolen properties
The suspects are expected to appear at the Emalahleni Magistrate's Court on Friday, February 3 for bail a formal application.

A police sergeant and five suspects appeared before Witbank Magistrate Court following their arrest in possession of a suspected stolen truck and two hijacked truck trailers.
Xolani Mnisi, Mduduzi Phiri, Thagakagan Chetty, Tishan Padayachee, Daniel Nkosi and
Mduduzi Ncongwane were nabbed in Clewer on Monday, January 30.
The suspects are due to appear at the Witbank Magistrate’s Court on Friday, February 3 for a formal bail application.
Middelburg Flying Squad members received information about the truck which was hijacked in Elsburg last month.
The police followed the signal which led them to a plot in Clewer where they found the suspected stolen vehicle and trailers.
Six suspects were arrested on the scene.
It later came to light that one of the suspects was a sergeant stationed at Vosman SAPS.
Amongst the arrested were two Zimbabwean nationals as well.
Police further discovered that the trailers were still loaded with cooking oil estimated at R1.3m.
The truck was allegedly hijacked in Garsfontein five years ago.
“Police are currently continuing with the investigation to establish if the suspects are not involved in other similar criminal activities,” said Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, provincial police spokesperson.
