As the crowning for Mrs Mpumalanga draws near, finalist Leatitia Fouché reminds us that nothing is possible without sharing life’s happy moments by giving more when possible with a donation to the Moth Sound Memory Cottages.

The Moth Sound Memory Cottages is a well-known old-aged home in the

City of Coal.

Established in 1971, the Moth Cottages has served the community well for the past 52 years despite not receiving any form of subsidy from the government and being dependent on self-generated funds.

Accommodating 74 residents in 63 units and 14 staff members is no easy task, an occasion to which Mrs Mpumalanga finalist Leatitia Fouché rose.

Leatitia ‘paid’ a visit to the cottages on February 10 with a big R4 000 cheque to help provide quality accommodation for the cottages.

“Giving back is all about living life. Nothing is possible without sharing life’s happy moments by giving more when possible. Today is such a day, and my heart grows ever fonder for the Witbank Moth retirement old age home,” Leatitia said.

For her, it is a privilege to help when possible, and she would like to thank all who supported her, as the donation would not have been possible without them.

The cheque was accepted with great gratitude by the staff of Moth Cottages, who smiled big with Leatitia.

“I challenge all our local businesses and anyone who wants to contribute to this noble course to open their hearts and help me raise funds to help provide quality accommodation for the Moth Retirement Old Age Home, contact me directly,” Leatitia said in closing.
