Vosman Police are investigating a series of armed robberies across their policing area over the past two weeks, involving truck tyre thefts, vehicle attacks, and robberies targeting pedestrians and businesses.

The most recent incident occurred on October 24 at about 09:50, when a delivery employee at Empumelelweni was approached inside a supermarket by an armed man demanding cash. According to police, the man allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene, followed by two accomplices.

According to police, on October 15 at 19:20, a man parking his white VW Polo TSI in Lynnville was confronted by three armed men. He reportedly fended off a firearm with his elbow and escaped through a neighbour’s yard, but later discovered that his wallet containing his ID, driver’s licence, and bank card had been stolen.

Earlier, on October 13 at 13:00, a man working at a tuck shop next to the KG Mall bridge reported that two armed men entered the shop, one pointing a firearm while the other demanded cash. The men allegedly returned on subsequent days, but he locked himself inside and alerted his brother before reporting to the police.

Also on October 13 at 01:45, a truck driver at a truck stop next to Elandsfontein Mine in Clewer was tied up by five to six men, who allegedly stole 13 truck tyres. According to police, the men reportedly spoke Sepedi and were dressed in black clothing. The victim escaped by jumping to a nearby rondavel, where a resident helped him untie himself.

On the same day, at 00:20, a woman walking near Alliance Church at Ext 10, Hlalanikahle, was allegedly robbed by two men, who pointed a firearm at her and took cash and a cell phone.
