Robbers target bread delivery workers in Hlalanikahle

Armed robbery hits bread delivery workers in Hlalanikahle.

Robbers recently targeted bread delivery workers in Hlalanikahle, fleeing with their phones and an undisclosed amount of cash during routine deliveries.

According to police, the incident occurred on November 22 at around 10:00.

The delivery workers had just finished dropping off bread at a local store in Hlalanikahle and were getting back into their truck when two men suddenly approached.

One man allegedly opened the driver’s door and pointed a firearm at him while demanding money. The second suspect confronted the other delivery worker.

The robbers fled the scene with cash and two cellphones.
Police have opened a case, and investigations are underway.

Vosman police station spokesperson, Captain Vusi Mnisi, warned delivery workers and businesses to be cautious, especially during routine or predictable operations.

“Criminals often target workers who follow the same routes and schedules. We urge delivery teams to stay alert, avoid stopping in isolated spots, and report any suspicious behaviour immediately,” Mnisi said.
