‘Ububele’ programme brings smiles to underprivileged children

Smiles all around in Klarinet Extension 6 as children received clothes from a major retail clothing store.

A clothing store has once again demonstrated its commitment to community upliftment by extending a helping hand to children in need through its ‘Ububele’ programme.

On March 24, the clothing store donated clothing to underprivileged children in Klarinet Extension 6, in collaboration with Witbank SAPS and various community organisations.

The initiative aimed to promote kindness, generosity, and support for vulnerable families in eMalahleni.
Acting Station Commander of Witbank SAPS, Colonel Nonhlanhla Kgosana, commended the effort and said, “I would like to commend the recent initiative by the clothing store, which generously donated clothing to children from underprivileged families in our community.”

Ward Councillor Lucky Tolo expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, including Witbank SAPS, community members, and partners, for their valuable contributions in making the initiative a success.

The store manager thanked the community for warmly embracing the donations and for their continued support of the brand.

Inkosana Mabongwe Mabena highlighted the importance of unity, referencing the slogan of the Manala Mgibe Traditional Authorities: “Ubunye yintatha” – meaning “Unity is Power.”

He emphasised that collaboration and collective action are key to achieving meaningful and lasting impact in communities.
