Water woes ahead for Phola and Ogies residents

Residents in Phola and Ogies are advised to use water sparingly, as maintenance work affects supply.

Residents in Phola and Ogies are being warned to prepare for challenging days ahead as a planned maintenance shutdown is expected to disrupt the water supply.

The plant will undergo critical maintenance from April 9 to 11.
Only half of the plant will be temporarily shut down to ensure improved performance and reliability.

During this period, there will be a slight reduction in water production.
The municipality is making every effort to maintain the supply at approximately 8 megalitres per day to the affected communities.

Water tankers will be provided to critical areas. Residents are requested to use water sparingly during this time.
