NLC celebrates Easter with joy and new beginnings

Attendees enjoy fellowship and reflection during the Easter service at New Life Church.

The community gathered at New Life Church to celebrate Easter and commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Easter celebrations kicked off with a movie night on April 2. The movie ‘Risen’ gave a clear perspective of what transpired after Jesus was crucified.

The service on April 5 centered on a message of hope, victory, and transformation. The atmosphere was filled with joy, music, and prayer, with many attendees noting a profound sense of peace.

“It felt like something special was happening today,” said attendee Thando Masuku. “There was so much joy in the room.”

A highlight of the day was the baptism of several congregants, symbolising their commitment to a new life in faith.

Family and friends watched with pride as they took this significant step.

“This is the start of my new life,” said Ayanda Mahlangu. “I feel free and full of hope.”

Church leaders emphasised that Easter is more than just a tradition; it is a time for real personal change. The service left many feeling encouraged and grateful.

“I’m leaving with peace and joy,” said Simangele Khoza, “and a powerful reminder that there is always hope.”
