Investigations underway to find remaining suspects in Highveld Mall business robbery
Three suspects were shot dead following a business robbery at Highveld Mall. Others are still at large.
Police urge for the public’s assistance in nabbing suspects who were involved in an business robbery at Highveld Mall.
This comes after three of the group of suspects which robbed a jewellery shop at the mall were shot dead while others fled the scene and are still at large.
According to the police, about eight men stormed into the shop and held the security guard and an employee at gunpoint, robbing them of jewellery.

As they fled the scene in different vehicles, they got involved in a shootout with an armed response which intervened swiftly.
Two suspects were shot inside the mall premises, and one outside the mall. At the crime scene, police recovered three pistols, a rifle, and rounds of ammunition believed to have been used by the suspects.

A vehicle with false registration number plates, which was also used as a getaway vehicle, was recovered, with some of the stolen jewellery inside.
A business robbery case was opened and investigations are underway.
