Get ready for the next Sassa grant payout

Beneficiaries who do not receive their grant on the intended date are advised to visit their local Sassa office.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has released the payment schedule for next month, with payments starting in the first week.

Make sure you have the correct date as scheduled by Sassa to collect your grant.

According to the agency, the May 2026 grant payment dates are:
• Older persons’ grants are paid from May 5
• Disability grants will be paid from May 6
• Children’s grants will be paid from May 7

Beneficiaries who do not receive their social grant on the scheduled day are advised to visit their local Sassa office.
