Emalahleni United tops SAB Hollywood Stream A, eyes promotion
Emalahleni United celebrate finishing top of the SAB Hollywood Stream A table as they prepare for the playoffs.
Emalahleni United has finished at the top of the SAB Hollywood Stream A table, edging out Emalahleni Ambassador by a single point.
After their match on March 22, United ended the season with 31 points, just ahead of the Ambassadors’ 30. Over the course of the season, United played 14 league games, securing 10 wins, one draw, and only three losses.
“We are incredibly proud of what Emalahleni United has achieved this season. Finishing at the top of the SAB Hollywood Stream A table is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and determination of the players, technical team, and everyone behind the scenes,” coach Howard Ngwenya said.
With momentum on their side, the team now turns its focus to the local and regional playoffs.
“There’s still a lot of hard work ahead as we prepare for the local playoffs, then the regional playoffs,” said Howard.
Speaking about the ultimate goal, the coach also said, “Only after conquering Emalahleni and Nkangala and making the dream of playing in the ABC Motsepe League a reality, will we truly celebrate. The journey continues, and we are ready for the challenge.”
