Man arrested after shooting outside popular Corridor Hill restaurant

Police say three shots were fired during an altercation, leaving a man critically injured in a Johannesburg hospital.

A 42-year-old man was arrested following a shooting at a popular restaurant at Corridor Hill in eMalahleni this afternoon.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer David Ratau said the man was arrested at the scene.

According to Ratau, the man fired three shots after an altercation in the parking area outside the restaurant.

Victim in hospital

The victim, identified as Ricardo Spies, was rushed to Life Cosmos Hospital in eMalahleni. It is believed that he is in a critical condition.

According to information, he was later transferred to Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg
