Sekunjalo Community Games continues to unite and inspire
The fifth Sekunjalo Community Games ended on a high note as top local teams battled for glory, showcasing football talent and community spirit in eMalahleni.
The fifth edition of the Sekunjalo Community Games concluded in a spectacular fashion at the MNS ground, with local football talent taking centre stage in a tournament that continues to promote social cohesion, job creation, and talent identification.
Established in 2021, the Sekunjalo Games have grown into one of the region’s premier community sporting events, bringing together teams from across Emalahleni and surrounding areas.
Following the early rounds played, the tournament culminated in exciting finals on June 16, where teams battled for top honours across different age groups.
Witbank United emerged as champions in the senior category after a strong performance throughout the tournament, while Klarinet Dortmund claimed the U11 title and One Goal Academy the U15 title.
Tournament local organising committee representative Tebello Nyaka said, “We would like to thank the people of eMalahleni for the incredible support they continue to give this project.”
He added, “We are also grateful to the MNS community for hosting such a big tournament and helping us create a platform for young people to showcase their talents.”
With the fifth edition now complete, organisers have already turned their attention to next year’s event.

“We encourage teams to start preparing now for the sixth edition top 32 tournament, which will take place in June 2027.”
