Bikers turn up the noise for a ‘woofing’ good cause

Good Samaritans donated pet food and blankets to help care for vulnerable animals during the colder months.

Boanerges MCC hosted a successful community-driven fundraising event at Cathalino’z Bar on July 4 to support the local SPCA during the challenging winter months.

The initiative encouraged residents and bikers to ‘make some noise for a cause’ by donating blankets and pet food to help the SPCA care for animals during the cold season.

Boanerges president Hentie Viljoen said the idea was to use the club’s passion for biking to raise awareness of the needs of vulnerable animals in the community.

“The event was a success. We collected a large quantity of pet food and blankets for the SPCA. We are truly grateful to everyone who came out and supported the cause,” said Viljoen.
