SoGutjhe Royal House continues Women’s Month support with community gifts

The initiative forms part of the Royal House’s annual efforts to support and appreciate women in the community.

The SoGutjhe Royal House, led by Queen Thulisile Mahlangu, continued its Women’s Month programme by distributing essential gifts to women in the local community following its Women’s Day celebration on 24 August.

The celebration, held under the theme, “I am inspirational, I am modern, I am royalty,” provided a platform to honour women, but the Royal House’s efforts did not end when the event concluded.

“Every year on Women’s Day, we receive essential gifts from our sponsors. We distribute them after the event,” the Queen said.

The Royal House also uses the annual celebration as an opportunity to support women who are building their own businesses.

“On the day of the event, we have an empowerment slot where women who run small businesses receive tools-of-trade support from a sponsor,” the Queen said. “The rest of the women receive something to take home as a token of appreciation.”
