Soccer coach convicted of child molestation to serve 15 years in prison
The coach will serve 15 years in prison for sexual exploitation, sexual grooming, and sexual assault.
The eMalahleni Regional Court handed down a sentence of 15 years’ imprisonment to soccer coach Edwin Soko, who was found guilty of molesting three minor boys.
The 43-year-old was back in court earlier today.
His sentencing follows his conviction on nine counts laid against him, which included charges of sexual exploitation, sexual grooming, and sexual assault.
The boys were aged between eight and 13 at the time of the incidents, which reportedly occurred in September and October 2023.
