Ridge Events Park prides itself on local talent from Mpumalanga
The Mpumalanga’s talent concert held at The Ridge Casino was sold out and capacity increased to accommodate fans at the event on Valentine’s Day.

As the crowd of fans bopped, swayed and cheered throughout the show, there was no doubt that they got what they came for, a spectacular show of awesome home-grown talent.
It was a music extravaganza of giant proportions, and the Ridge was thrilled at the response they got from the local community. The Ridge Casino is a proud supporter of local talent, and based on the support and feedback they got for this show, it appears that eMalahleni shares this commitment.
“We thank everyone who came to support the amazing performers, and apologise to those who didn’t manage to get tickets. Rest assured that this is just the beginning of a stunning line-up of shows and events at The Ridge for 2014. Remember to move swiftly to book your seats next time,” said Thapelo Modise, marketing manager, The Ridge.
Performing in the show were three talented young artists who all hail from Mpumalanga. Musa Sukwene from eMalahleni who won South Africa’s most widely watch reality talent competition in 2013; the runner-up in the competition, Brenden Ledwaba, who is from Graskop, and eMalahleni’s Monde Msutwana, who was also a firm favourite from the reality talent show.
Opening for the three young stars was DJ Henry. Monde was first to take to the stage, performing a range of romantic songs in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Brenden performed an array of songs and moves that were reminiscent of Idols, and Musa had no problem getting the crowd to sing along with him as he performed.
The show ended with a lucky draw during which five lucky concert-goers were selected to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast with the three stars at Billy G’s the following day and also had a chance to celebrate Monde’s birthday which was on the following day.
