Red wine, cabaret and good company

An evening filled with good wine, a top of the class cabaret show and good food is in the planning.

The evening of wine tasting is taking place on July 25 at 19:00 at Mystical Mansion.

Wine producer, Bertus ‘Osbloed’ van Niekerk of Osbloed Boutique Wines will share his experience with wines.

Bertus became noted for his unique approach to wine making as well as his fresh view on marketing in a time when the wine industry is characterised by generic flavours and packaging that lacks soul.  He is recognised in the 2013 Platter’s Wine Guide for his influence in taking good Cinsaut seriously as well as overnight making his label collectible.

In late 2009 Bertus also launched a wine he bought in under the Osbloed label.  Hanekam and Blommetjie have since joined the range.
He is a small scale wine producer based in Somerset West. In 2010 he made a barrel of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in his garage.

In 2011 he doubled production and added a barrel each of Stellenbosch Cinsaut and Elgin Riesling to his wines. These four wines were launched in 2012 as the Horses of the Apocalypse.

Marcia Keen will be entertaining guests with a cabaret show.
The dress code for the evening is smart casual.

Cost is R600 per couple and in includes the wine tasting and a three course meal.
