eMalahleni has M-(oe)-USA talent

Another one bites the dust, as for the second year in a row we have a Musa on the DSTV IdolsSA music competition. It has been two years that eMalahleni has come out victorious, with Monde Msutwana making it to Top 3 in 2012, Musa Sukwene taking the Idols’ crown in 2013 and now eMalahleni must do it again with Musa Mashiane in the running for IdolsSA Season 10 winner.

The young man hails from KwaGuqa Extension 14 and has lived most of his life here. After matriculating from Hoërskool Patriot, he moved to Johannesburg to pursue a career in music. His Idols appearance might not be the first time that he is being seen by some of the music lovers, as he has had performances before in Johannesburg and even went as far as releasing an album under Native Rhythms. Musa has featured on a lot of local artists’ songs and has had airplay of his own.

The time has come for Musa, who has made it into the Top 11 of IdolsSA, to sing his way through to number one. This stage is by far the most testing of the competition, many have gone and to remain in the running means you have got what it takes to please South Africans with the smooth, husky, rough or maybe even high or low pitched voice. The chase for IdolsSA winner of Season 10 is on and the only way Musa can bring it home is through the votes.
