Lo Luthando Foundation in partnership with Life Link Ministries hosted the Father and Daughter Dance recently.
The dance was held at Mthimkhulu Hall on Saturday, August 30.
The theme of the dance was ‘Rebuilding first love and family relationships’.
Actor Zane Meas of Fatherhood Foundation was the guest speaker during the dance. He said fathers are the best, not the boss and that Jesus and father makes the family.
“Fathers are spiritual leaders and they are important, even the Bible says so. The beauty of a father must come from inside and words are then deposited to the girl child. Girl children will always feel safe in the arms and protection of their fathers. Tell your children how much you love them. Love is the foundation of the family, it is the magic word. God did not create a man by mistake, make your family important and be a role model. The father is the source and the root of everything, your daughter is the queen. Build her confidence, support and care for her. Fathers take care of your children, we need a safe nation. The decision you make today will affect the country in the future,” he said.
Meas also encouraged the fathers to live a healthy and productive lifestyle and be role models to their families.
A pledge was also made by the fathers who attended the event.
Lo Luthando Foundation’s slogan is ‘Raising a princess and grooming a queen’.
Fathers looked smart in their casual wear and their daughters dressed smart as well.
