Executive Mayor Cllr Linah Malatjie said she appreciated the role played by the churches in the city. She was accompanied by Cllr Ms Petunia Maseko, Transversal unit manager Ms Trudy Xhala-Mavimbela, Ms Phindile Nkosi and other officials.
Mayor Malatjie thanked Father Linda Zwane for the role he was playing in the Moral Regeneration Movement.
She also thanked sponsors Max Prof for supporting such initiatives.
She also encourages students to focus on their studies and to apply at the mayor’s office for their registration to the institution of higher learning.
The presentation of blankets was done to other churches as well.
