Dog owners in Reyno Ridge facing charges of animal cruelty

A dog found living in dirty and parasitic conditions was removed.

Luckily for the animals out there, there are people who can talk for them when they can’t.

In March an inspector from Witbank SPCA followed up on a complaint regarding animal cruelty in the Reyno Ridge area.

The inspector arrived at the relevant house with a court order which was issued by Witbank Magistrate’s Court.

The dog was living in dirty and parasitic conditions.

“An investigation was conducted regarding a dog that required veterinary attention, which the owner failed to provide in terms of the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962. The SAPS assisted and the dog was confiscated with a warrant. The SPCA laid charges of animal abuse,” said Ms Carika Roux from Witbank SPCA.
