Except for the win, Banele Hlatswayo gave the team another reason to celebrate with his exceptional efforts.

Witbank Citylads FC claimed a hard-fought 4–3 victory over FC Sivutsa NPC in an ABC Motsepe League clash that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The match was tightly contested, with both teams trading goals in a fast-paced encounter that reflected the competitive nature.

Supporters at Ackerville Stadium witnessed the performance from the home side, who managed to hold off Sivutsa’s late push to seal the three points. The result strengthens Citylads’ mid-table standing while Sivutsa continue their fight to climb out of the lower ranks.

According to the Citylads manager, Mandla George Soko, the highlight of the game was Banele Hlatswayo’s best performance, who wore jersey No. 15.

“He’s 16 years old, and he scored two goals during the game,” said George.

The ABC Motsepe League is South Africa’s third-tier football division, and sponsored by the Motsepe Foundation. It serves as a platform for semi-professional clubs across the country, offering young players the chance to showcase their talent and compete for promotion to the National First Division.

The league is divided into provincial streams, ensuring representation from all regions and supporting grassroots football development.

The opposing team’s coach was not available to comment.
