Sassa is ready for the New Year payments – check the grant dates
Sassa has announced the new social grant payment dates for 2026, starting in early January.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) said it is ready to roll out social grant payments for January 2026, assuring beneficiaries that systems are in place for a smooth start to the new year.
According to the agency, the January 2026 grant payment dates are:
- Older person’s grants from January 5
- Disability grants from January 6
- Children’s grants from January 7
“If you did not receive your social grant on the date you were intended to be paid, please urgently visit your Sassa office, as you may be due for a review,” Sassa said in a statement.
The agency assured beneficiaries that all necessary systems and logistical measures are firmly in place to ensure a smooth and dependable start to the new year.
