Tea & Bloom builds on Let Her Grow’s decade-long legacy

Building on Let Her Grow’s 10-year legacy, the event reinforced the organisation’s commitment to creating opportunities for women to connect, learn and grow together.

Founders, entrepreneurs and leaders gathered for Let Her Grow’s Tea & Bloom Long Table on October 23 to connect and empower women.

The gathering featured a range of activities, including afternoon tea, prayer, meaningful conversations, networking opportunities and a soy wax candle-making session. Guests were also treated to a fashion showcase by FS Emporium.

Among those in attendance was Miss World South Africa 2026 Romanda Hombir, while the speaker line-up included Dr Debbie J Smith, Blessed Shirley Khumalo of Blessed Girls and Women Africa, Jemima Undi and life coach Tshepo Maud Ggomo.

The programme also featured a musical performance by Minister Nontsikelelo Hlomela of Glory House.

The event marked the official ribbon cutting and launch of the Let Her Grow brand and formed part of the organisation’s vision of creating an ecosystem where women can connect, share experiences, access opportunities and support one another’s growth.

Building on milestone celebration

Tea & Bloom builds on the momentum of Let Her Grow’s recent 10-year anniversary celebration in eMalahleni, which featured actress, producer and entrepreneur Connie Ferguson.

The milestone event celebrated a decade of empowering women through mentorship, leadership development and personal growth initiatives.

Founder Mmasechaba Makua said the organisation’s expansion beyond eMalahleni has been encouraging.

“I feel incredibly grateful. August was beautiful for Let Her Grow, and seeing the women of eMalahleni show up and support us again at Tea & Bloom meant so much to me. It is one thing to start something at home, but to see it grow beyond your own community and begin reaching women in other parts of the country is a beautiful feeling,” Makua said. “The love we received was overwhelming. What made it even more special was the response from founders who are already doing well and have expressed their willingness to mentor and support young entrepreneurs and girls,” she said.

“For me, this is bigger than hosting successful events. It is about building a community where women connect, share their experiences, open doors for one another and grow together. We started with one table and a desire to create a space where women could pause, connect and grow. Seeing that vision reach more women nationally reminds me that something that starts small can grow into something much bigger than you imagined,” she added.

Makua said Let Her Grow remains committed to creating spaces where women can learn from one another, build lasting relationships and access opportunities that contribute to their personal and professional development.
