Two deceased in N2 accident near Empangeni

The N2 was partially closed while emergency services attended the scene

TWO people lost their lives when a motorbike and car collided on the N2 north of Empangeni earlier today (Friday).

KwaZulu Private Ambulance and Mounties EMS attended the accident between Canefields and Enseleni Nature Reserve, which occurred at about 4.30pm.

While the two deceased had succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived, a further three occupants had sustained injuries ranging in severity.

Paramedics treated one patient with serious injuries and the other two for minor injuries before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.

All services attended the scene, which led to a partial closure of the highway.
