Full tummies for Richards Bay ferals

The feral cats of Richards Bay and Empangeni will have full tummies after a massive food donation to Project Feral Cat on Madiba Day

Not to be forgotten this Mandela Day, the feral cats of Richards Bay and Empangeni will have full tummies after a massive food donation to Project Feral Cat (PFC) on Friday.

The extremely generous donation of multiple bags of cat food came from JMH RBMI in Richards Bay.

The team also filled the cats’ food bowls at various places before handing over bags of food to the various PFC volunteers who feed the larger colonies.

These include Franswa Potgieter who feeds some 200 feral cats at his place of work, and Erika Vermaak for her colony in the Richards Bay CBD.

“We are so grateful to JMH RBMI for the generous donation,” said an emotionally overwhelmed PFC founder Heilke Ackerman.
