Women called to prayer

THE Full Gospel Church in Empangeni is hosting a Women’s World Day of Prayer (WWDP) event on Friday, 3 March at 3pm.

This worldwide ecumenical movement sees Christian women, men and children coming together around the world to share a common prayer in churches, homes and auditoriums across the globe.

The theme for the 2017 event is ‘Am I being unfair to you?’ and the order of service is set out by the WWDP South African Programme Committee, under the leadership of the International Committee.

At the 2016 event, the South African Programme Committee recieved more than R100 000 in offerings on the day, which were distributed as follows:

The Bible Society SA – R70 000, The Bible Society Western Cape – R2 500, Bible Distribution Western Cape – R2 500, The Salvation Army – R10 000, KidZAid KZN – R5 000, Engo Free State – R5 000, Christian Social Council Mpumalanga – R5 000, Christian Social Council Gauteng – R5 000.
