Holy Cross Anglican Church celebrates its centenary with history and flowers

Honoured guests at the Holy Cross Anglican Church centenary celebration cocktail party were the Very Rev Monument Makhanya and his wife Sizakele, Nonhlanhla and Ignatius Zwane, Professor Mazibuko (Rector of the University of Zululand), Bishop Dino Gabriel and his wife Elizabeth, uMhlathuze City Mayor Elphas Mbatha and Municipal Manager Dr NJ Sibeko

THE Holy Cross Anglican Church in Empangeni celebrated its 100th anniversary over the weekend.

The festivities started on Thursday evening with a cocktail party, flowers through the church and a historical photo exhibition, and on Saturday a market and tea garden attracted many visitors.

A solemn service on Sunday rounded off the centenary celebrations.
