All systems go for matric exams
National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams will begin on 28 October
WITH the trial examinations completed, the Department of Education is now focusing on the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams which will begin on 28 October.
KZN Education MEC Senzo Mchunu heaped teachers with praises for the way the recent ANA exams were conducted.
‘As the KZN Education Department we are more than ready for the upcoming NSC exams and we are confident that we have done everything to prepare our pupils for these exams.
‘As much as we were pleased with the 2012 results, our aim this year is to do even better,’ said Mchunu.
This year a total of 150 061 full-time and 24 733 repeating candidates will be sitting for their NSC examinations in KwaZulu-Natal.
More than 9 000 markers will process the exam papers between 4 and 14 December, with the results released on 7 January.
