ONE truck driver was seriously injured while another miraculously survived unscathed after their vehicles collided forcefully on the N2 close to Canefields at around 9.30pm on Friday.

This after a motorist had earlier that evening posted a video showing chaotic scenes of heavy congestion on the N2 highway between Empangeni and Enseleni, predicting possible danger.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service described the scene as one of ‘mass destruction’, with one of the trucks having slid and overturned, leaving wreckage strewn across the road and necessitating a complex recovery effort that left the road closed for about two hours.
