Local missionaries conquer Mount Kili
Three local believers conquer Mount Kilimanjaro
THREE local members of the South African Evangelistic Mission (SAEM) have conquered Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro.
Zululanders Kevin Chetty, Linda Naidoo and Reverend Louis Meneon (SAEM Missions Director) have successfully made their way to Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania last month.
At every border post the team prayed and placed a stake in the ground declaring that nation for Christ. These prayer warriors spent a few weeks preaching, teaching and spreading the gospel during their journey through the four countries.
The trio then started their 5 895-metre climb up Mount ‘Kili’. They spent six days and five nights interceding for others while hiking to the summit. The SAEM has a vision to visit all 54 African countries by the year 2020 and claim those nations for Christ according to the Joshua principle of setting one’s feet on the ground for Christ.
Thus far, apart from their most recent trip, they have already covered Namibia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Nigeria, Ghana and Zambia.
