IN these tough economic times it is pleasing to attend a celebration of 60 years service to their community by the eShowe Round Table 24.
Present at the function held at the eShowe Hills Eco-Estate were members of Table 144 (Melmoth) which has closed and the charter club, Durban Table 2 and a number of former memebers of eShowe Table and 41’ers.
Many had travelled long distances to enjoy the evening of memories flashed on the screen and catching up on the latest news.
At the celebration, Natal North Coast chairman Graham Carruthers inducted eShowe’s newest member, Myles Macaulay.
Current chairman, Duncan Balmer announced that, through Round Table, the Zululand Homes for the Aged would be receiving a substantial amount of money through the eShowe Round Table, the district and Austrian fund raising efforts.
Guest speaker, Steve Dahl paid tribute to past and current members who played a substantial roll in shaping the history of the club and its ethos.
