Poor road condition blamed for fatal accident

AN accident on Thursday evening between two cars in KwaMbonambi has left one person dead.

The accident took place on the main road that runs through KwaMbonambi at about 6.30 pm.

Although the exact details of the crash is not clear, an eyewitness said he saw two cars collide when one of the vehicles pulled into the road and another car drove into it. ‘The car was a wreck’ he said.

KwaMbonambi residents are blaming the poor condition of the roads for the accident.

‘This road falls under national road management, we are constantly told, so am intrigued that there is a repair job in progress the morning after the accident when the pothole has existed for nearly a year. Does it take a life to get a pothole filled in? resident Mike Stratton said.
