A routine hospital visit by the youth of the Ngwelezane Seventh Day Adventist Church resulted in Maureen Mnguni (56) being a beneficiary of a brand new two-room house built especially for her.
The new homeowner, bursting with pride, could not contain her excitement as she accepted the keys to her home last Monday.
Mnguni was a patient at Ngwelezane Hospital when she met youth ministry members spreading the word of God in her ward
After her discharge, the Adventist Church women paid Mnguni a visit at her home in rural Sgisi where she had been living in a dilapidated shack with her two children.
Overwhelmed by the shoddy conditions in which she lived, the women decided to bless her with a home and a new uniform for her thirteen-year-old son who at the time had been wearing torn clothes and damaged shoes.
‘We thank the Lord God for giving these women a sharp eye to see and wisdom not only to pray for the unfortunate, but to act as needed,’ said Ngwelezane Adventist Church Women’s Ministry leader, Thandile Mahaye.
