Keeping children entertained during holidays
You can always take them to granny's house for some peace and quiet
KEEPING children entertained is no small feat, but with a little creativity and patience it can be done.
Here are some ideas on how to do it without breaking the bank:
– Visit your local tourist agency and find out where local tourist attractions are. This way you
do not have to travel far for some fun in the sun.
– Visit local museums.
– Take the kids to the movies or rent DVDs.
– Let them colour and paint; this will keep them busy for a while.
– Let them give their pets a bath.
– Get cooking! Find an easy-to-follow recipe and make it with your children as a project.
– Play dress-up with old clothes.
– Take them to charitable organisations where they can do volunteer work, or if they are too
young for work, let them play with needy children and learn about each other’s lives.
– Do crafts such as origami and paper Mache.
Last but not least, take them to granny and grandpa’s place if you need some peace and quiet. They
will be happy to take the children off your hands.
