Take note of the many uses of baking soda.

Baking soda is probably one of the most essential items you can have in your home. Its unlimited use spans from a cleaning detergent to a gardening aid. These few tips explain how this crazy product can be so beneficial around the house.

Washing powder – by adding a cup of baking soda to your washing, your clothes will come out cleaner and brighter.

Silver polisher – combining baking soda with water will shine up that tarnished silver in no time.

Pain relief – Mix baking soda and water and apply directly to any areas affected by sunburn or bug bites for instant relief.

Shampoo – add a small amount to your favourite shampoo and prevent the damage caused by styling products.

Revive old sponges – soak stale, old dish sponges in a mixture of 4 Tbs baking soda and 1 quarter water to disinfect and make them reusable.

Cleans shower curtains – sprinkle baking soda on a clean damp sponge and scrub those old shower curtains until they are clean. Rinse and hang up, they will look like new.

Neutralise those fridge odors – place an open container of baking soda at the back of the fridge to neutralise all odors produced by open foods.

Remove grease and oil – sprinkle some baking soda over any grease or oil stains on the garage floor and scrub with a damp brush.
