Long walk to Kilimanjaro
Funds collected during the annual Trek4Mandela will be used to support Caring4Girls.
MANDELA conquered apartheid for the people of South Africa and Richard Mabaso is conquering Mount Kilimanjaro for Caring4Girls.
‘We all have a little Mandela in us’ are the words of Richard Mabaso, an aspiring Mandela of the next generation.
Richard Mabaso was a guest at the eShowe Heritage Festival on Sunday.
He is the founder of Vision 20/20, Caring4Girls and Trek4Mandela.
After hearing his mother and niece talking about the menstrual challenges faced by girls, Richard decided to find ways of being a solution.
Caring4Girls was started to provide needy girls with sanitary towels and also to create a space for puberty and adolescence dialogues.
All funds collected during the annual Trek4Mandela are used to support Caring4Girls.
This year will be the third year of the annual Trek4Mandela initiative.
Driving all the way to Tanzania to climb Kilomanjaro from 17 July, with the renowned Sibusiso Vilane’s ‘Drive and Climb’ is sure to be thrilling.
