THE Owen Sitole College of Agriculture (OSCA) recently held its annual mini show in preparation for this week’s Royal Show in Pietermaritzburg.
Champion on the mini show was a Simbra bred by Jan Labuschagne from Wasbank near Dundee and handled by Nkosikhona Makhathini.
The reserve champion was trained by Thando Linda and was a Bovelder bred by Shaun de Jager from Dundee.
The 27 students will be part of the student challenge and the future farmers competitions at the Royal Show, which ends on Sunday.
The OSCA students will compete against students from Cedara Agriculture College and Weston Agricultural College.
