EarlyAct celebrates 10 years

A successful decade for St Catherine's EarlyAct Club.

ST Catherine’s EarlyAct Club recently celebrated its 10th birthday by hosting a special meeting in the school hall, which members of the Empangeni Rotary Club were invited to.

The committee also surprised junior school pupils with chocolates.

In each Rotary year, from July to June, the EarlyAct club is required to complete a minimum of three projects, at least one school project; one community project and one international project.

Through hosting a Swimarathon, the club made a donation to the End Polio Now campaign.

The club has also supported the community by assisting with the collection of food and clothes, and supported the Hope project.

This year, EarlyAct plan to make a donation towards the goal posts for the school’s new Astroturf and will continue to collect bottle tops and bread tags and has been asked to design and create a poster to promote this campaign.
