Flushed-out dealer case postponed

Richards Bay cocaine case update.

FACING drug related charges after attempting to flush drugs down the toilet, Nigerian national Christyan Nwanwu was back in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court court last week where the case was postponed to 13 August for further investigation.

Nwanwu is alleged to have attempted to get rid of the drugs when members of the Richards Bay Organised Crime Unit, Empangeni Crime Intelligence and Richards Bay SAPS Border Security swooped on the flat in Strelitzia Road, Arboretum in June.

Drugs with a street value of about R100 000 were recovered from the toilet pipe and in his apartment.

These included raw cocaine, blocks of crack cocaine and ecstasy tablets.
