Tales from the Baobab

Grantleigh play is a 'hooting' success.

Grantleigh Junior Preparatory pupils presented, Tales from the Baobab.

Written and directed by Margie Taylor, the play told the story of a family of owls who lived in a baobab tree.

The Grade R pupils acted out the nocturnal creatures that lived in the tree and performed poetry and dancing.

The Grade 1 group skillfully acted out the story of The Elephant’s Child, using drums and percussion instruments to enhance their scene.

The beach scene and a representation of India were the tasks of the Grade 2 classes, employing dance, poetry, prose and music .

The Grade 3 classes performed a Japanese festival and an amusing extract from Robin Hood.
