THE South African Police Services (SAPS) have issued a warning to all motorists on a new technique used by criminal gangs.
‘If you are driving at night and eggs are thrown at your windscreen, do not stop to check the car, operate the wiper or spray any water.
‘Eggs mixed with water become milky and block one’s vision by more than 90%, and you are then forced to stop beside the road and become a victim of these criminals,’ said Empangeni SAPS spokesperson Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose.
‘This is a new technique used by gangs. Please inform your friends and relatives.’
For assistance dial 10111 or preferably dial 112 from a cellphone connected to any network provider.
The Empangeni SAPS direct line is 035 9015803/06.
