THE three accused charged in connection with the murder of Meerensee couple Ernst and Lilo Boller have been refused bail.
Chief suspect Andile Phila Mbuyazi, and Zabani Mbuyazi and Sipho Mthiyane on Monday appeared in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court and were remanded in custody.
They are facing counts of murder, house robbery, arson and being in possession of suspected stolen property following the gruesome murder of the elderly couple at their Mackerel street home on 5 September. After the attack the perpetrators torched the home and fled in the couple’s Hyundai Tuscon.
Mbuyazi, from the Nhlabane area, was employed by the victims as a gardener.
