More services at Ulundi airport

A new tourist office has been established opposite the airport terminal and a restaurant has also opened its doors.

THE government’s input to upgrade the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Airport in Ulundi continues to bear fruit as more service providers join in the action.

Besides scheduled flights by Federal Air, Avis Car and Van Rental have also started operating from the airport.

A new Zululand District tourist office has been established opposite the airport terminal and a restaurant has also opened its doors.

Federal Air have slowly increased their operations and now include flights to OR Tambo, Durban’s Virginia Airport and Pietermaritzburg’s Oribi Airport.

The flight to and from Johnannesburg stops over at the Phinda Game Reserve.

Regarding the car hire business, Ulundi residents have been quick to support the business.

The car rental service offers air commuters seamless ‘last-mile’ connectivity.

Tourists can now fly direct from OR Tambo Airport to Ulundi, rent a 14-seater vehicle ideal for game viewing and travel the 35km to the Cengeni Gate of the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park to enjoy Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife’ flagship game reserve.
