Ralph Hart and Richard Garside, left Entumeni on Sunday on a 737km journey to the Clocolan Agricultural Show... on a tractor.
TWO tractor enthusiasts, Ralph Hart and Richard Garside, left Entumeni on Sunday on a 737km journey to the Clocolan Agricultural Show.
Garside, on his 1954 Vaaljapie (Ferguson TE20) and Ralph’s 1958 Ferguson 35 were expecting to complete the trip in four days.
They slept the first evening in Ashburton outside Pietermaritzburg, before travelling to Himeville for their second stop.
The next morning they planned to climb the Sani Pass and view the Khatse Dam before spending the night camping somewhere in western Lesotho, before passing through Ficksburg and eventually Clocolan on Wednesday.
They will be spending Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the show before returning to Entumeni with the tractors and trailers safely on the back of a truck.
