Awaiting the stork

ACCORDING to folklore, expecting parents await the arrival of the stork, carrying their newborn bundle of joy in a blanket and dropping baby safe and snug in their waiting arms.

And so, an expecting mother is traditionally surprised with a ‘stork tea’ secretly arranged by family and friends, bearing gifts to welcome the new arrival to the world.

The guests of honour at this beautiful baby shower were Luzette Anthony and her baby girl, still safely sleeping under mommy’s heart.

The stork was luckily nowhere in sight and Luzette could enjoy her last few days of rest before the big pyjama drill.
