High tea and fancy hats

IN celebration of the Empangeni Inkanyezi Women’s Institute’s 88th birthday, members were dressed to the ‘tea’ as they enjoyed a high tea at Leisure Gardens on Saturday.

President Antoinette van der Walt presented prizes to the lucky ladies who participated in the club’s monthly competitions, ranging from cooking, sewing and baking.

Arline Robertson baked a special cake for the occasion and the women enjoyed an array of savoury and sweet treats.

Representatives from LifeLine were also present and gave a short presentation on the work they do.
